Tyson Family Park

Tyson Family Park is a public park property located in the Town of Richfield. The land was donated to the Town in 2017 by Mr. Carlton Tyson, a developer from Monroe, North Carolina, as part of the former Industrial Ventures property. 

The park property consists of approximately 65 acres designated for recreational and community use. The park can currently be accessed from Deese Street, with additional access from Highway 52 through Executive Drive. 

An additional 5-acre tract adjoining both Tyson Family Park and Richfield School property was also included in the donation. The Town may utilize this property in the future for public purposes such as park expansion, municipal facilities, or community services. 

The property includes existing walking and biking trails that are used by residents and visitors. One loop, connected to Richfield School, is approximately four-tenths of a mile. A second loop, accessible from Deese Street, is approximately six-tenths of a mile. Portions of the Falcon Trail also pass through the park. 

Much of the property currently remains open farmland and is maintained through agricultural use while preserving the land for future recreational opportunities and community development. 

Tyson Family Park provides the Town of Richfield with space for current outdoor recreation as well as flexibility for future park improvements and community needs as the area continues to grow.
