Garbage and Recycling

Garbage pick-up is every Thursday.
Place cans at curbside prior to 7:00 am on Thursdays.
Solid waste services are provided to Town residents through a contract with a waste management service. Garbage is picked-up weekly by placing garbage at the curbside.

Recycling pick-up is every other Thursday.
Place cans at curbside prior to 7:00 am on the date of the scheduled (every other Thursday) pick-up.
Recycling bins have labels listing accepted items.

Municipal Water

The Pfeiffer-North Stanly Water Association (PNSWA) provides water to residents and businesses located in Richfield. The PNSWA purchases all their water from the City of Albemarle.

Municipal Sewer

Sewer system in the Town of Richfield is provided by Stanly County Utilities Services department. All residents of Richfield who have access to the sewer system are connected.

Fire and Emergency Response Services

The Town of Richfield’s fire services are currently provided through a contract with the Richfield-Misenheimer Volunteer Fire Department. The Richfield-Misenheimer Fire Department provides emergency services to a primary response district of approximately thirty-three square miles

Electric Utility

Duke Energy

The majority of Richfield’s electrical utility is provided by Duke Energy.

Union Power Cooperative

A small portion of Richfield’s electrical utility is managed by Union Power Cooperative.
